Cooking Classes

Dark Leafy Greens:

Learn how to incorporate this nutritional powerhouse in dishes you and your family will enjoy.  From light to hearty main courses that support your health goals.

Whole Grains: 

What are whole grains? How do you prepare and flavour them? What benefits do they have? Get your questions answered and see for yourself how a little know how gives you endless options in the kitchen.

May 11th from 6:30-9:30pm

Gluten-Free Cooking: 

Take the challenge out of eating gluten-free.  With or without an allergy you can enjoy the benefits of eating gluten-free,or baking for friends and family who are allergic or sensitive. You will have the skills to turn family favorites into gluten free alternatives. 

June 6th or June 22nd from 6:30-9:30pm

Soups for Spring: 

Pack nutrients, flavour and variety into soups that utilize Spring vegetables.  Stock your pantry with ingredients that allow you to make quick satisfying soups at a moments notice.

International Sides: 

Take your taste buds on an adventure through the spice trail from Asia to Zimbabwe. Turn everyday indredients into flavour bursting dishes to create your own themed dinner.

Sushi Workshop:

This Japanese favorite is easier to make than you think. Create your own flavour combinations featuring traditional ingredients.  Enjoy the benefits of mineral loaded seaweed! 

June 15th from 6:00-9:00pm

Focus on Legumes: 

Reducing animal protein in your diet has healthy benefits.Take beans and lentils to a whole new level.  Homemade baked falafels, vegetarian burgers and hearty salads can be made with ease.  Add flavour, a great source of protein and fibre in new and tasty ways.

June 9th or June 30th from 6:30-9:30pm

Main Course Salads:

It's not just about lettuce. Basic dressings can be altered to suit your tastes and ingredients you have on hand. You will have the ability and confidence to create fantastic dishes while increasing your vegetable intake. Great for the warm summer days ahead!

June 20th from 6:00-9:00pm

All Classes are:

  • $70+HST 
  • 3 hours (approximately) 
  • inclusive of all recipes (ranging from 3-5 depending on the class)

Please remember to bring your own reusable container as you will take home what you make.
